How the worker lifecycle fits
Connect worker records from hire to pay. Choose the Contractor or W-2 type and keep the right checks for each.
- Workers and worker types
- Deputy records marked as contractors map to worker records in Wingspan. W-2 staff do not map to contractor records.
- Engagements and assignments
- Deputy shift rosters map to worker assignments in Wingspan. Each job links to a work template with agreed rates and required checks.
- Requirements and eligibility
- Wingspan tracks checks like tax forms and licenses. Ready flags sync to custom fields in Deputy. Shift managers see who can work.
- Work logs and approved work
- Approved Deputy timesheets sync to Wingspan. They become work items in a work log on the worker assignment.
- Payables
- Contractor time supplies work logs or known amounts. Use one payable path for each cost. Finance gives separate payment approval before money moves.
- Client invoices
- Deputy shift hours link to client contracts in Wingspan. The hours add line items to client bills. Client bills stay separate from worker pay.
- Payments and payouts
- Wingspan pays approved bills in a payroll run. The sending bank finishes processing. Wingspan marks the timesheet as paid. It adds pay reference numbers.
- Tax forms and reporting
- Wingspan collects tax forms, checks tax IDs, and files year-end 1099 forms. Deputy tracks shifts and attendance.
