Track contractor checks by assignment

Wingspan tracks contractor tax forms, tax ID checks, and required insurance for each assignment. Readiness updates a Personio status field when checks pass review. Your team sees who is ready for the selected work, with contractor and W-2 forms following their own paths.

Turn approved attendance into contractor bills

Approved contractor hours fill Wingspan work logs. Agreed rates set the total. Approving a log creates one amount owed. The contractor sees an invoice. Your team sees a payable. Finance gives separate payment approval. Your team spends less time copying hours.

Protect private tax and bank details

Contractors add bank details and tax forms in Wingspan. Payment dates, status, and references return to Personio so your team can track progress. Choose the additional fields each team needs and set access for sensitive worker data.

How Personio works with Wingspan

Personio tracks worker profiles, hiring, and time. Wingspan manages worker records, checks, and pay. Each worker record is called a payee. Worker types include Contractor and W-2.

This guide follows selected contractor records from Personio into Wingspan. An engagement is a reusable work template. Each assignment links one worker to it and tracks the required checks. W-2 workers use employee payroll with tax withholding.

Readiness and payment status flow back to Personio. Deposit confirmation means the sending bank finished processing. It does not prove the worker's bank posted funds.

Plan your integration

Filtering rules to keep worker types separate

Select the Personio profiles this contractor workflow uses, using external worker type or custom fields. Keep each worker's type clear. Contractors complete contractor onboarding and use payables. W-2 workers use employee payroll with tax withholding.

Keep tax forms and bank details safe

Workers enter bank details and submit Form W-9 in Wingspan. Select the readiness updates, payment references, and other details your Personio team needs. Set access for sensitive fields and documents before sharing them.

Keep hours review separate from bill approval

Checking work hours is not the same as approving pay. A manager confirms attendance in Personio. Then the work log moves to Wingspan for review. Once the work log is approved, Wingspan creates a bill, called a payable. Your team must approve the payable before any money moves. Then you can release pay in a scheduled payroll run.

How the worker lifecycle fits
