Appraisal & Property Valuation

Pay appraisers per order and track every state license

Wingspan onboards appraisers, inspectors, and BPO agents to one vendor panel, tracks state licenses and E&O coverage, pays each completed order, plus the rush and complexity fees you send, and files 1099s.

Onboard every vendor type on your panel in one flow

A panel mixes certified appraisers, licensed trainees, BPO agents, inspectors, and property data collectors, and each needs different paperwork. Sometimes you’re onboarding a vendor to fill an order you already have. Set up an engagement for each vendor type, state, or client program, attach the requirements it needs, and Wingspan builds each vendor’s onboarding flow from them.

From their phone, vendors scan their ID and take a live selfie for a biometric check, submit a W-9 and payment details, sign agreements, and upload licenses and E&O certificates. Your team sees what’s submitted, missing, or waiting for review, and payments stay held until every requirement is complete.

Pay each order with rush and complexity fees included

Send completed orders to Wingspan by file import or API with each order’s fee and any rush or complexity fees your system calculates, and Wingspan pays them as separate lines. Orders logged through the API can also be priced by rate cards you set in Wingspan. Your team controls approvals and who can release funds.

Vendors see each order, its fees, and the final amount, then choose standard ACH, Wingspan Wallet, or an instant payout. Paying soon after a report clears review can help your orders get accepted first, and it replaces the biweekly paper check run.

File 1099s for your whole panel without rebuilding the data

Wingspan collects each vendor’s W-9 during onboarding, checks the TIN with the IRS, and flags mismatches before the vendor gets paid. At year-end, Wingspan creates, reconciles, files, and delivers 1099s from the pay data it already has.

If a vendor moves from filing under an SSN to an LLC with an EIN, they submit an updated W-9, and Wingspan issues separate 1099s for each tax-status period. Vendors review their tax documents in their portal and request corrections there, and your team approves each one.

Track state licenses and E&O coverage across your whole panel

Appraisers often hold licenses in several states, and lenders and clients want to know who’s licensed where. Set license requirements by state, and each vendor sees only what applies to them. Wingspan tracks each document against the renewal schedule you set for each requirement.

For E&O (professional liability) certificates and other insurance, Wayfinder, Wingspan’s built-in suite of AI-enhanced intelligent features, reviews supported documents and checks coverage, limits, and policy dates, and Wingspan flags coverage expiring within 30 days and reminds the vendor. Your team makes the final call and can see every vendor’s requirement status in one place.

The beauty is that it ensures one report can only be paid once.
