Pay merchandisers and auditors for every store visit in one payout

Wingspan onboards reps, pays each one for a full cycle of approved store visits in one payment, offers direct deposit, Wingspan Wallet, or instant payout, and files 1099s for retail audit, merchandising, and mystery shopping providers.

Every approved visit, reset, and audit in a pay cycle lands on one payment, with a line for each task.

Sign up reps on their phone without losing them at the paperwork

New reps often stall when it’s time to hand over bank details and tax forms. Set up an engagement for each role, territory, or client program, attach the requirements it needs, and Wingspan gives each rep one short onboarding flow built from them.

From their phone, reps scan their ID and take a live selfie for a biometric check, submit a W-9 and payment details, and sign agreements. Run background checks from the same record, and keep sign-up inside your own field app with Wingspan Embed. Your team sees who’s submitted, missing, or waiting for review, and payments stay held until every requirement is complete.

For in-store demos and event staff, see Wingspan for brand ambassadors and events and hospitality.

Pay a full cycle of store visits as one payment per rep

Reps finish many small tasks each week: shelf audits, resets, demos, and shops. Once your field app approves the work, send it to Wingspan by file import or API as one payable per rep, with a line for each task’s calculated pay and any reimbursements.

Tasks logged through the API can also be priced by rate cards you set in Wingspan. Your team controls approvals and who can release funds, and reps see every task, amount, and reimbursement on their payment.

File 1099s for the reps who meet the threshold, not every rep you paid

Many reps and shoppers earn small amounts across the year, and only some reach the reporting threshold. Wingspan keeps 1099 filing focused on contractors who meet the applicable threshold, and creates, reconciles, files, and delivers 1099s from the pay data it already has.

TINs are checked at onboarding, and reps request corrections in their portal for your team to approve. If some reps are W-2 in certain states, Wingspan also supports seasonal, temporary, and part-time W-2 employees.

Pay reps on the schedule that keeps them taking jobs

Pay speed matters to reps deciding which jobs to take. Set the pay schedule for each rep group, like every Friday. U.S. reps choose standard ACH, Wingspan Wallet, or an instant payout.

Reps and shoppers outside the U.S. get paid in 180+ countries and territories, in supported local currencies where available, and finance sees the exchange rate and fee before release. Wingspan collects applicable W-8 forms during onboarding, and a payout stays on hold until required forms are complete.

Wingspan was quick, easy, and intuitive for vendors to log in and get paid how they want. That’s a huge shift for us.
